I base my work off a Famous Natural Doctor in the 1800’s. Dr. Samuel Thompson. He believed in getting the toxins out of the body. There are many ways to get the toxins out. He used Enemas and sweating. We now know we can also use Epsom salt baths and colon cleanses. Dr. John Ray Christopher made herbal formulas to make colon cleanses.

So rule one is to get the toxins out. If your colon is blocked then toxins will try to come out of the skin causing rashes.

Dr. Thompson’s advice is still important for today. Get it out of the body. A few days ago, someone asked me why, after starting a colon cleanse, were her ankles swelling? My answer was that her lymph system was also already clogged. The lymphatic system picks up molecules too big to pass into the blood. It picks up fats, proteins, toxins, bacteria etc. It also makes lymphocytes that assist in killing viruses and bacteria. Therefore, it is major to cleansing, building, and the immune system. If your lymph system shuts down you could die within 24 hours. If the lymphatic system becomes clogged and sluggish you can hit a plateau in your cleansing and healing.

Sometimes the toxins will fill up the lymph system so the lymph glands swell. You will feel pain in the underarms, the ankles, the neck, the breasts, the lungs and the colon if the majority of the lymph glands are swollen. The problem with toxins filling the lymph system is that then your immune system becomes low so it can’t fight off viruses or other microbes. The lymph collects in the thoracic duct and then dumps into the inferior vena cava, goes through the heart and lungs, then is picked up by the spleen, liver and kidneys where it is cleaned and purified. The Toxins are then excreted through the urine and the bowels. So it is important to have a clean bowel and liver in able to assist with the breakdown and excretion of toxins. Exercise is the best way to get lymph moving again. The lymph system doesn’t have a pump like veins and arteries that help the system drain or in fact go back up the legs.

It relies on the muscles of the legs contracting and relaxing to push it back up. The best thing for this system is walking or rebounding.

You can also help by using fruits and other liquids that keep the lymph thin. I read a book about fruits that can create an environment that will help thin the lymph glands. This book, The Food Pharmacy, said that Grapefruits have been known for thousands of years to assist the body in removing toxins.

I love to drink a mixture of half grapefruit and half pineapple to help my legs feel better when they ache.

      That is a gall bladder cleanse not a liver cleanse. Perhaps you should reread the chapter on the Liver Cleanse in Inner Transformation.

        just got liver enzyme numbers back and slightly up which is really good. One thing that seems to help me is geranaium
